We design for the way software works when the interface disappears.

THE PROBLEM
Every interface pattern we have assumes a tool you operate direction –– you click, it responds, you can see what happened.
Agents don’t work that way. They act, they compose, they decide. The design problem has changed. We design to determine what the person sees in order to understand what was done, on what basis, and where they can intervene.
